The Sun Wah Story
Our story began in 1970s when our Founder, Mr Phang Sun Wah, started a coachwork fabrication company. In 1989, Mr Phang co-founded a bus and bus body manufacturing company in Senai, Johor, Malaysia.
Sustainable Transport
We put sustainability in the core of everything that we do. We take pride of our knowledge on sustainable transport and more than 50 over years of experience working with some of the most sustainable cities in delivering affordable, fuel efficient, and long-lasting transportation system and product.
Strategic location
The Headquarter of Sun Bus Tech is located at Senai Airport City, Johor, which offers a diverse connectivity via air, land and sea for domestic and international business accessibility. It is the southern gateway for high-value industries and a hub for international logistics for industries.
Our Green Initiative
The headquarter of Sun Bus Tech including both production and warehouse will be setting up environmentally friendly features, such as solar panels, rainwater harvest tank, energy efficient lighting & cooling to reduce the energy consumption and water efficient sanitary ware.
Our Technology
Our efforts are focused on standardizing solutions and products which allow simple and cost-efficient assembly. Lightweight, robust, modern and proven materials and products are used for structural parts as well as for flooring components, luggage racks, partition walls and others.

Focusing on bus body manufacturing, Sun Bus
Tech is the new name that was carried out by the industry pioneer, Mr. Phang Sun Wah, Founder & Chairman of Sun Bus Tech, who has more than 50 years of solid experience started in the 70s.
Sun Bus Tech kickstarts its headquarter and manufacturing plant in Johor, Malaysia to provide high technology, quality, and economical services and products in the public transportation industry – a further step to realise sustainable and fuel-efficient vehicles.
With our technological know-how, we have accurate structural design and competency to design bus bodies that can be assembled onto various types of chassis according to customers’ specifications.
Technical Consultation
With strong technical know-how and experiences, Sun Bus Tech is able to provide engineering services to our customers who would like to be able to build their own buses in their own countries. We are able to support our client from chassis selection to complete assembly of a bus fulfilling their local requirements.
