The story of Sun Bus Tech started in the 1970s when the Founder, Mr. Phang Sun Wah, started a coachwork fabrication company. In 1989, Mr. Phang co founded a bus and bus body manufacturing company in Senai, Johor.
In 2022, a company with brand new mindset and ability to see the market with new lenses is formed Sun Bus Tech Sdn Bhd, backed by Mr Phang’s years of experiences in the bus body manufacturing industry.
Sun Bus Tech is specialized in bus and bus body manufacturing. The company’s goal is to contribute to a better living environment by enabling reliable, sustainable, emission free, and affordable public transport. With its technological know how, the company has accurate structural design and competency to design bus bodies that can be assembled onto various types of chassis according to customers’ specifications.

MEET OUR TEAM
Mr. Phang Sun Wah first started a coachwork fabrication company in the 1970s, and in 1989, he co-founded a bus and bus body manufacturing company in Senai, Johor, Malaysia. In 2022, a company with a brand-new mindset and the ability to see the market with new lenses was formed - Sun Bus Tech Sdn Bhd - backed by Mr. Phang’s years of experience in the bus body manufacturing industry.

After graduating from Deakin University in Australia, Shyan started her career in the finance industry and gained solid experience in two major financial hubs in APAC - Hong Kong and Singapore. In 2014, Shyan returned to Malaysia and joined her family's bus and bus body manufacturing business. Since then, she has devoted herself to the business and has made good use of her financial knowledge to oversee industry trends, business strategy, data analysis, and marketing initiatives.
Shyan also has a strong and sturdy experience in the IPO process, and is highly attuned to the market's demand and direction, constantly looking for new business opportunities.

His expertise in business development has been honed through years of experience in the transportation industry, where he has developed a deep understanding of market trends and customer needs. In his role as Business Development Director, he is dedicated to expanding Sun Bus Tech's reach and delivering value to customers across the world.

Additionally, Wilson oversees the quality control of the products, ensuring that they meet the high standards that Sun Bus Tech is known for. With Wilson's knowledgeable experience, the engineering team is able to work cross-functionally with ease, making the development and manufacturing process more effective and streamlined.
